You've been warned... Even if it is cute, this companion isn't very useful and tires quickly... Don't insist and leave it in its egg, it's best for everyone.
Obtaining[]
This Companion was automatically given to players in 2017 for a short time on April Fools Day. It gave player a gift and disappeared after the player sent it on an exploration. For the 2018 event, Blobby appeared again but players received a Blobby egg as a gift after sending Blobby on mission. In 2019, it came back again and brought a Blobbette egg from the exploration.
During the Summer 2019 Event Blobby could be evolved to Blobbiathan in the Alchemy minigame. As a result, the Blobby egg will disappear and would be replaced by a Blobbiathan egg.

Trivia[]
During the April Fool's 2017 event, if a player tried to send Blobby to their egg, Blobby would only say its name.
Additionally, Blobby's food was whatever the replaced Companion's food was. For example, if they replaced a Corko, then Blobby's food was a Sweetened Egg; however, it was impossible to feed them.
Unlike other Companions, Blobby can only hold one food item in its stock.
Blobby will never bring back exploration items any other time of the year.
The Blobby is the first companion to be animated and the first companion that was impossible to evolve. After Blobby, other companions that had animations included: Blobbette, Regarius, Zarali, and Blobbiathan.
In France, April 1st is called "Poisson d'avril" (April Fish), as people would gift themselves with fake fish on that day.
The description "My name is Blobby" is a reference to Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy universe.
